RENO, Nev. – An unidentified Nevadan outbid more than 40 other potential investors last week for a world-class luxury yacht at Lake Tahoe.
The Sierra Rose sold for $3.2 million.
The Alabama-based J.P. King Auction Company confirmed the purchase of the hand-crafted boat modeled after streamlined vessels dating to the 1930s.
The tri-level yacht currently docked at Tahoe Keys Marina in South Lake Tahoe, Calif., features three bedrooms, 3.5 baths, a gourmet galley and a helicopter pad.
Participants in Thursday night's auction came from eight different states and 12 countries, including Belgium, Australia, Turkey, Lebanon, Hungry, South Africa and Turks and Caicos.
